Started in Saint Petersburg, Russia in 2020 and now based in Vancouver, Canada, Autonomous Apes is a Russian-Canadian rock band that takes inspiration from grunge, alt rock and post-hardcore to create a unique blend of sounds and cultures. Fighting through the pandemic and the move to the other side of the Earth, frontman Egor Kopshar has managed to keep the band and music going, earning a following and respect among peers in the Vancouver scene as well as beyond the home province. Now joined by Marissa Chan on bass, Erin Docherty on drums and Misha Bezruchko on guitar, Autonomous Apes continues to reinvent itself.
